This week’s ratings (pardon me for having missed a couple of weeks) have been hampered by a serious lack of quality flaming. Most of the old stand-bys are off of their mid-season form. Perhaps this has something to do with the BIG RIVALRY GAME taking place so early in the season. Here is this week’s rankings:
(1) SNOOP DAWG - Snoop gets the first place vote because I love his web pages- please, send me a link so I can see them regularly- and also because he was the only Husky to find a way to poke a hole into the third-longest winning streak in Pac-10/Pac-8/PCC history.
(2) GO_OR_DUCKS- Go OR Ducks gets a big boost in the ratings for handling some of the sillier no-name flamers very well. He also wins praise from Dawg4Life, admitting that they’d probably be friends even though they hate each other.
(3) FLYBOY DUCK- The only thing keeping the Flyboy from a Number One ranking is a dearth of posts.
(4) WOODERSON92- Began posting regularly before the UCLA game on eDuck, and once he got over the initial desire to blindly attack all things Ducky, started being a worthy adversary for football discussion. Here’s hoping he sticks around.
(5) OLD DOWG- Once again wins with a one-liner: “What are Duck fans like when they aren’t drunk?” I wouldn’t know, O.D.
(6) DUCK FIGHTER- Impermissible lapses in grammar and funniness relieved only by his brazen resort to bribery. Let this be a lesson to the rest of you. Give me tickets to a Duck game and you WILL stay in the Top Ten, no matter how bad your posts are.
(7) “VALLEY OF DEATH”- Someone was posting variations on everyone’s favorite Psalm over on Unleashed. Funny and erudite.
(8) TAILGATER- Gets in by pushing this cheap vision of the Huskies as a “bunch of average scholarship players.” No matter how appealing that vision is, I’m just not buying it. Notably, df picked up that ball and ran with it, like the shameless bribing cur that he is.
(9) “FEARLESS LEADER”- One great post, noting how the Huskies now have to bitch and whine about how unfriendly and downright mean Oregon fans are in Autzen Stadium…
(10) DEATH VALLEY DUCK- A tireless fighter for Duckdom, he is just now coming into his own on the boards.
(11) DUCK37- Duck37 happened to call the UCLA game exactly right, and gets no credit or respect for the same. To illegitimate opportunists such as df, any Duck success is due to a gimmicky scheme. Of course Michigan put 9 in the box against UCLA as well- but Michigan was good back in the 1970’s when the Ducks were bad, so that doesn’t count. That’s about it.
